Cover Girl Intense Shadow Blast Review

My first review! Squee!

Cover Girl Intense ShadowBlast
Intense ShadowBlast

We all see the commercials with the fab Drew Barrymore with perfectly smoky eyes that seem effortless and it's all thanks to one product: Intense Shadow Blast. Amazon lists the description:
Intensify your eye look! Our innovative formula of rich eyeshadow with built-in primer gives you intense crease-proof color that last for hours. Intense Shadowblast is rich color that stays!
It's offered in six different colors:
Beige Blaze- a light champagne with a strong white/silver sheen
Blue Bomb- strong sky blue with a silver sheen
Brown Bling- medium blue-based brown with a subtle silver sheen
Extreme Green- between a spring and a pistachio green with a gold sheen
Forever Pink- ballerina pink with silver sheen
Platinum Pop- a medium silver with a hint of sky blue.

I personally love these! I have four of them:

 without flash
with flash
Beige Blaze, Platinum Pop, Extreme Green, Brown Bling

Pros
-The texture is nice and creamy when you first put it on, but dries to a nice powdery finish in about 90 seconds.
- It really lasts all day! I tend to have oily eyelids and I live in Florida, so it's Humidity Land, and I put it on at 10 a.m. and I was still looking great at 6 p.m, no creasing in sight!
- Beige Blaze will look great on just about everyone. It's a great base from natural daytime looks to nighttime drama! I've even used this on my burlesque girls.

Cons
- It doesn't really go on super evenly or blend out well with the applicator. I use a finger to even it out and blend outward.
- The most of the colors have a pretty strong silver sheen to them, including the brown.
- Platinum Pop, when used by itself, comes off more blue than silver. However, it is great to use as a foundation for some rock n' roll inspired eyes!

I would recommend everyone to get at least one of these; they're a great buy at $7-8 a piece. They're a wonderful base for a variety of looks or can work as a quick wash of color. If we were to have only one, it would definitely be Beige Blaze: looks great on so many skin tones and brightens every eye color.

Tip: let the product dry with your eyes closed for about 90 seconds so there's no creasing.

A tutorial using this product will be up soon.

Later, my pretties!
